Solcubator Reborn Community Update — 18/04/2022
Solcubator aims to drive the expansion and adoption of the Solana ecosystem by providing a secure and decentralized platform for projects seeking funding and incubation and for investors to filter the value-added projects as it’s community-driven.
The people have spoken, and we’d like to dedicate this article to providing a statement regarding Solcubator’s past, current, and future state. In recent days, the community has respectfully stated its feedback (both positively and negatively) in response to our intent to return.
Truthfully, we preferred to take this course a lot sooner. However, a project of Solcubator’s nature and potential carries a lot of responsibility. Such potential without proper management and execution is nothing. What we needed inside our team was a drastic change.
Past, Present & Future
Evidently, things started to get rusty behind the project's scenes in January. The team dynamics, both on the dev and communication level, were subpar. Everyone was noticing it, and something had to be done. We realized there’s no point in coming back without getting rid of the weakest links of our company. So, the first measure we took was utterly replacing the disjointed dev team. The most crucial factors to our success are issuing consistent team updates and Solcubator’s timely development (as per our roadmap). Our project has been lacking in these areas. Anyway, as we’re keen on making things right, we decided to outsource a part of our development to a renowned yet unrevealed partner. The changes happening to Solcubator will come into full display after our first IDO. You read that correctly — our primary goal is to operationalize our platform as quickly as possible and draw much attention. The first IDO will help get Solcubator back into the picture as one of the first launchpads on Solana. As part of our revamp, we are working towards releasing a Solcubator V2 Platform with a different appearance, feeling, and IDO mechanism. All changes to our platform’s core features will be described in a future Medium article.
Staked Tokens & Tiers
Since the website has been inactive for a while, some people are now worried that they will be unable to unstake their tokens. Rest assured, although the staking functionality will temporarily be turned off until further notice, you can submit your case here, and we will refund your tokens by hand.
On a different note, others wonder whether the Solcubator Tiers will change to reflect the current price conditions. It’s a controversial topic, but the team will make a balanced decision that will be fair to early and new investors.
Roadmap
Some months have passed, and considering the changes described above, it calls for a new roadmap, which we plan to release soon. With a new team and group of partners working full-time, you can expect improved means of communication and an accelerated pace of development. Now is the time to make noise for Solcubator; our first significant step will be to tease the first IDO within two weeks. In the meantime, we are making sure that the platform is IDO-ready and absolutely no bugs will occur. Design and functionality changes as part of the V2 Platform are in the works, and they should be ready not long after our first IDO. We cannot guarantee that the staking functionality will play a role in the upcoming IDO, as it’s under maintenance, but our triple-round (guaranteed) allocation system is a fact. That is, you will need SOLC to participate in the IDO. In case this doesn't sound very clear, we will again explain the IDO process in the sale article.
